Insulation resistance test voltages are selectable at 250V, 500V, or 1000V, with a measurement range of 10 kΩ to 1000 MΩ. Continuity tests are available for short-circuit currents exceeding 200mA, with a resolution of 0.01 Ω. It measures AC/DC voltages from 25V to 600V.
Displays a voltage warning when connected to a circuit greater than 25V. If voltage exceeds 50V, testing is automatically disabled. Features automatic post-test discharge and a high voltage warning before selecting the 1000V range.
Utilizes Megger's exclusive DART™ technology, combining the clarity and accuracy of an LCD digital display with an analog needle response to evaluate charge and discharge characteristics.
Features include an automatic continuity test, automatic power-off after 10 minutes of inactivity, and automatic voltmeter activation when connected to active circuits over 25V.
Test leads can be manual zero adjusted from 0 to 9.99 Ω to completely eliminate errors caused by lead resistance.

The Megger MIT230 offers three selectable insulation resistance test voltages: 250V, 500V, and 1000V, with a measurement range of 10 kΩ up to 1000 MΩ.
If the tester is connected to a circuit with a voltage greater than 25V, it displays a visual warning. If the voltage exceeds 50V, insulation and continuity tests are automatically disabled, and the unit safely discharges the circuit after the test.
DART™ (Dual Analog/Digital Readout Technology) combines the precise and clear readout of a digital LCD screen with the responsive feedback of an analog needle, allowing operators to easily monitor charge and discharge trends.
Lead compensation allows you to manually zero the test leads from 0 to 9.99 Ω. This features eliminates resistance errors caused by the test leads themselves, ensuring highly accurate continuity readings.
The Megger MIT230 carries an IP40 environmental protection rating, conforms to safety standard EN61010-1, and has a CAT III 600V safety rating, making it suitable for demanding field applications.
The instrument is powered by six 1.5V AA batteries. You can use standard alkaline batteries or rechargeable NiMH batteries.
