Custom Series 6400 Picoammeters from Keithley Manufacturers, Supplier

The economical 5½-digit Currents between 10fA and 20mA can be measured with the Model 6485 Picoammeter at up to 1000 readings per second. The Model 6487 Picoammeter/Voltage has a 500V source, a dampening function for use with capacitive electronics, and a higher accuracy and faster rising times than the 6485. The Model 6482 Dual-Channel Picoammeter/Voltage Source has two separate 30V voltage bias sources and a greater measurement resolution than the Model 6485 or Model 6487.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the lowest current resolution available in these picoammeters?
The Series 6400 picoammeters offer a current resolution as low as 1fA (specifically on the Model 6482), making it ideal for measuring ultra-low leakage currents and dark currents.
How does the low burden voltage benefit low voltage circuits?
With burden voltages as low as 200μV, these picoammeters ensure high-accuracy current measurements even in circuits with very low source voltages.
What are the channel differences between Model 6482, 6485, and 6487?
The Model 6482 supports dual-channel measurements, while the Model 6485 and Model 6487 are single-channel instruments. Model 6487 additionally includes a built-in ±500V source and resistance measurement capabilities.
What interfaces are supported for computer connectivity?
All standard configurations of these models support both GPIB and RS-232 computer interfaces.
Can these instruments be integrated into automated test systems?
Yes, with a reading rate of up to 1,000 readings per second to the internal buffer (and up to 900 readings/second to the IEEE-488 bus) along with a built-in Trigger Link interface, they are highly optimized for automated production testing.
What rack-mount accessories are available for these models?
You can use the Model 4288-2 Dual-Unit Rack-Mount Kit to easily mount up to two units in standard instrument racks.
